CANCUN FC, MORE THAN FOOTBALL; PROMOTES ART AND CULTURE

The Iguanas project also focuses its objective on supporting the city's artists, such as Arely Marrufo and the 'X por la Pinta' Collective.

Cancún, Quintana Roo August 24, 2023.- Cancún FC goes beyond football, since as a socially responsible company it also focuses its objectives on supporting areas, such as art and culture.

Visiting the 'Andrés Quintana Roo' stadium will be a great experience for national and foreign tourists due to the attractions it offers, better yet, inspired by Cancun talent.

“I am very pleased that the Cancún FC house has six murals that correspond to Cancun artists from the 'X por la Pinta' Collective. The technique is known as mixed, that is, ninety percent aerosol and ten percent acrylic paint.

All the artists are urban, except Sara Jiménez, who is a brush artist. We are very grateful to Cancún FC for the opportunity they give us to capture these beautiful murals,” said Arely Marrufo, cultural agent of urban art and who heads the 'X por la Pinta' Collective, since 2018.

Originally from Cancún, Arely is an engineer by profession, however, destiny had another path in store for her: “I am 43 years old, I am from Cancún, but I lived for a time in Chetumal and we took the opportunity to extend the project, because 'X for the Pinta' is already a brand,” he explains.

Erving Noh Chi, Roberto Mandrujano, Cirilo and Sara Jiménez, William Uc Couoh, Mario Eduardo Tino Palomo and Dener Colli, are the artists who captured their works on the walls of the building in superblock 21, located in the eastern area: Door 7 (access general) and Puerta 9 (Tourist Lounge), on Mayapan Avenue.

Committed to social causes, Cancún FC will support the 'Artists with Teletón' project, at the beginning of fundraising in favor of the Art Workshops of the Teletón Children's Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT) Quintana Roo.
